Tiger Wheel & Tyre wins award for excellence at 2019 Discovery Insure Partner Awards
Tiger Wheel & Tyre, South Africa’s most trusted retail Tyre Company and a proud partner of Discovery Insure, declared the results of its store and staff placements in the 2019 Discovery Insure Partner Awards. It shared this information along with the update that the company received an Excellence Award.
The annual Discovery Insure Partner Awards programme has rigid criteria that tests its partners to stretch themselves and achieve at the highest levels to receive the sought-after recognition the programme bestows on a select few.
The 2019 Discovery Insure Top Tiger Wheel & Tyre Technician Award went to Mr. Jonathan van der Merwe of the Menlyn store, while the Top Tiger Wheel & Tyre Store Award was presented to the Tiger Wheel & Tyre Fourways Crossing store in Johannesburg.
Farishta Singh, Tiauto Group Marketing Executive said, “We are greatly proud of Jonathan van der Merwe of the Menlyn store and of the crew at the Fourways Crossing store for putting in the extra effort that set them apart and earned them the accolades in these prestigious awards,” .
Tiger Wheel & Tyre was honored with an Excellence Award in recognition for its participation in the YES initiative. Youth Employment Services (YES) is a business-led partnership with the government, which creates new, paid job opportunities for youth between the ages of 18 and 35.
“When we approached Tiger Wheel & Tyre with the proposal for their connection in the YES initiative, they instantly embraced the programme and started to recruit candidates to gain work experience and potentially a future career,” said Anton Ossip, CEO of Discovery Insure.
